REMEMBER to enter professional looking information in all fields of your profile; people [most of them] will see your profile, before they will give you any work. So make a decent looking profile.

REALITY CHECK: it is very difficult to win your first freelance projet. Competition is tough, so be prepared to throw the lowest bid. That is, until you have established a good ranking and have gained positive feedbacks from your clients/buyers. All freelance sites have a rating/feedback system. When a person completes a job, he/she then gets a rating/feedback. The more jobs a person do, the more ratings/feedbacks he/she will get.

COMMUNICATION with buyers is the most important part of freelancing. You have to send private message to buyers as soon as you place your bid. Without communication with buyers, your chances of winning a project are very slim.

NEVER put your contact information in your private messages at these freelancing sites. They will terminate/suspend your account if they find any contact info in PM.

BE ALERT. The only hope for new-comers to win projects is to catch the newly opened projects. If you are the first one to place a bid on the project, then your chances of winning that project increases significantly.

Your first few projects will be hard to get and far between, but once you have gained positive worker feedback and established a good reputation, buyers will be the ones seeking and requesting for your services.

if finding our own little gold mines is possible, so is stumbling on mudholes and booby traps called SCAMS. They come in different forms and urls, and some may not be as obvious as othere. Most of them however, has 4 these four words in common: QUICK EASY BIG CASH.

Here are a few tell-tale signs of a Work-At-Home Scam:

Most of the jobs requiring initial investments under the category of onetime registration fees or deposits are likely to be frauds. Beware that such fees and deposits are likely to be valid for a fixed period of few months to three years and therefore you have to shell out further amounts after every 12-18 months to renew your membership.

Many of the companies collect hefty amounts under the pretext of assured jobs but they rarely manage to provide regular jobs and income.

Offers that says ‘earn money sitting at home by doing simple work and without any qualifications’ often ask for sign up fees. Payouts for many of such offers are so meager that you cannot recover your sign up fees even after six to eight months, which ultimately, would make you frustrated and give up.

COLLECT as much information as possible about the company and the websites you are likely to sign up. Make sure that there is a real person or entity behind the particular company by verifying the address and telephone numbers. If the site has no contact numbers, it is best to avoid it.

TALK to the real people and ascertain about the genuineness and existence of the company and the business that has offered you the chance to earn online incomes.

AVOID the schemes that assure you loads of money just by stuffing envelopes at home and other ideas where you are not required to do anything. If you feel that you are offered abnormally high compensation not commensurate with the output, skills and results, you could take it for granted that there is something fishy.

Whether your business is small and new or large and established you will need adequate finance for the majority of projects, purchases and expansions you’re your business makes.

Obtaining the necessary cash to get your business off the ground can be a challenge and few new companies are able to finance themselves on cashflow alone and therefore need to consider gaining finance from other external sources. There are many of these external sources who will be willing to provide you with this start up finance, a few examples of these are stated below:

These are just a few examples of some of the places that business start-up finance is available from; however there is another source of business finance available that many people often seem to forget, this is grant finance. Business Grants can however take several months to process so you should always add extra time to your planning so that you get a decision on your grant application before the project is due to start.

A lot of start up companies and small businesses are often put off the idea of applying for a business grant to help them with their finances and because of this many of these businesses are missing out on a great opportunity to gain extra cash for there business; cash that doesn’t need to be paid back.
